While Jeff Lynne’s ELO was withdrawn from the title slot, the last day of BST Hyde Park was canceled | ENTS & ARTS NEWS

The BST Hyde Park Festival canceled its last night after Jeff Lynne withdrawn from the Hoper of the Electric Light Orchestra title.

77 -year -old Lynne was going to play next to the band on Sunday, but after a “systemic infection” had to withdraw from the event.

The London show had to be a “last farewell” from ELO after the Veda US tour.

Organizers said that Lynne could not perform on Saturday because they could not perform.

A statement read: “Jeff is fighting a systemic infection, and in the care of a doctor team that tells him that it is currently not possible to perform or can not be planned again.

“The band’s legacy and for a long time fans are at the forefront of Jeff today – and although he is very upset that he cannot perform, he knows that he should focus on his health and rehabilitation at the moment.”

Later, they confirmed that Sunday’s event would be canceled.

Another statement, “Ticket holders will be returned directly by ticket agencies with more details and will be contacted.” He said.

The Stevie Wonder festival played on Saturday – now its latest event in 2025.

US rock band Doobie Brothers and Blues Rock singer Steve Winwood were among those who took the stage before ELO’s headline performance.

The cancellation comes from a performance on Thursday, known for the Group’s Cooperative Live Arena on Thursday.

ELO was founded in 1970 by Lynne in Birmingham, a very instrumentalist Roy Wood and drummer Bevan.

First, in 1986, Frontman Lynne left in 2014 before the group resurrected.
