Students urged to improve the reading habit

“Since books have treasury houses, each student should develop the habit of reading them. Moreover, the joy of reading a book is unique,” he said.
He was opening the National Librarians Day program organized with the theme of Lead to Lead.
It was organized jointly by the SJMVS Art and Trade Library and Trade Library and Languages Departments in Hubball.
Mrs Sushila, who loves the contribution of Sr Ranganathan with love, said that he could not get the joy of reading a book by reading the same thing in digital format.
Honor guest BS Malavad invited students to develop the habit of publishing with books and actively participated in group discussions to expand the information horizons with the books.
Retired Librarian Sangamesh Paschapur emphasized the need to pay more time to read books as well as paying attention to their health through limiting screen times and physical activities.
Director Cecilia D’Cruz, who chaired the function, urged students to trust books and themselves and told them to remember that the person’s knowledge could not be taken by anyone.
Within the scope of the National Librarians Day, trial and book speech competition at regional level for pre -university students were organized for enthusiastic students.
IQAC Coordinator Shivakumar Bannihatti and other faculty members were present.
