Students should develop a strong moral character for successful life: SC Judge

Justice of the Supreme Court of India, R. Mahadevan, said on Saturday that students should develop a strong moral character who patiently woven the principles, doctrine and obedience to be successful in life and career.

On the campus of the VIT at the 40th meeting, Adalet Bay Mahadevan said that the strong moral character helped to make consistent choices in trials and test life. It helps a person to grow as leaders of tomorrow to guide other citizens of the country. “The right character is the basis of the spiritual power that will lead to success in your entire life. Students should believe in the difficulties in life,” he said.

Judge stressed the importance of reading among students because it is the door to the world of knowledge. Students should deepen and expand their knowledge in every field to become stronger in human values.

At the presidency, Viswanathan, the founder and chancellor of the VITE, said that especially parents of the middle and lower class, especially in private universities, find it difficult to pay their children’s wages. In this context, the government should share at least a portion of the fees paid by parents, as it will encourage more students to continue higher education than rural areas. “Tamil Nadu began to allocate the highest share of budget allocation for education in the country with 21% of his budget in 2025-26. The center allocated only 2.5% of 55 Lakh Crore budget allocation for education this year (2025-26).

On this occasion, he received a PhD in disaster reduction and management at Police General Manager Sandeep Rai Rathore, Police Training Center, Chennai, Vit, Vellore, VIT. A total of 11,563 students received degrees certificates, including 451 doctoral academics.
