On Thursday, the state of Kansas and Arizona will meet in the first FBS match at London’s Wembley Stadium next season.

Big 12 schools will play an iconic 86,000 people planned as a home game for Jayhawks on September 19. For both teams, the conference will be open.

The previous college football game held in the UK came on October 16, 1988, when Richmond defeated Boston College 20-17 at the Crystal Palace National Sports Center in South London in front of only 5,000 fans.

It will be the second flat year in which Big 12 plays a game in that region of the world. The province of Iowa defeated Dublin on 23 August and Kansas in Ireland 24-21.

Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark is the first step to play in Ireland this summer this summer. ” He said. “Playing in Ireland is a driving force for future global expansion, and I am in this business.”

Kansas has never played a game outside the United States, whereas Arizona State lost to Houston in Tokyo in 1990.

Jayhawks and Sun Devils met for the first time last season, and Arizona State won 35-31 in Tempe and Ariz on October 5th.
