As of July 1, 2025, it will be mandatory to send an e-book when applying for any online building plan approval, including applications under Nambike Nakshe scheme. After making E-Khata compulsory for real estate transactions, Bruhat Bengaluru Managara Palike (BBMP) now made the document compulsory for building plan approvals.
The process of sending a property certificate to the Revenue Department for verification has been stopped from the same date.
Hindu In December 2024, the civilian body reported about the plans to do this.
Civic Body said on Monday that the building plan approvals of the building plan are already provided online through the software of EODB-OBPS (Ease of Making Building Permission System). The Income Department of the BBMP implemented the e-Aasthi software in which e-Requirements were given for properties under the jurisdiction of the E-Requirements. Data for such features are available in the e-Aashi system.
“The e-Khada / EPID number that publishes E-Khadat, which publishes e-Khadat through the Income Department, will be mandatory to publish the e-Khaata / EPID number, e-khaata / EPID number in the online software, e-Khaata / EPID number in the online software, and it will be necessary to release this EPID number.
As a result, the property documents will not need to be presented manually to the revenue department for verification, will simplify the process and provide services such as building plan approvals on time.
In addition, for the applications under the ‘trust and verification’ model, the temporary approvals given online should be verified and verified by the Deputy Director (City Planning) within the specified time period. If no action is taken within the time zone or a valid reason is not given, the system is automatically approved. In such cases, the joint manager of the relevant region (city planning) has been instructed to inform the responsible civil servants to the regional commissioners for the disciplinary penalty according to the rules.
Meanwhile, BBMP Special Commissioner (income) Munish Moudgil said that five Lakh citizens took the last e-Khata.
