Karunanidhi’s eldest son and former actor Mk Muhu passed away in Chennai 77 years old
In the 1970s, he was introduced as the leading actor in Muthu, Pillayo Pillai and Anaiyavilaku. At that time, the DMK leadership reflected it in weight against the popular actor politician MG Ramachandran (MGR) who founded AIADMK, according to the TOI report. However, Muthu’s acting career did not meet expectations.
In the following years, there were differences between Mouthu and Karunidhi and asked Muthu to join AIADMK. Their relations remained tense until 2009, when Mouthu reconciled after long -term illness.

Mouthu was born in Padmavathi, the first wife of Karunanidhi, who died shortly after his birth. Karunanidhi later married Dhayalu Ammal.
Mouthu survived by his son Arulnithi, who is currently active in Tamil cinema.
