If the PBKS star publishes the star, 3 teams to target Chahal

Despite the ball glow, Yuzvendra Chahal will come with PBKs before IPL may end before 2026
Yuzvendra Chahal could be in search of another team in IPL 2026 after a sub-par performance in IPL 2025. As per reports, Punjab Kings are set to release the veteran ahead of the next season. Being IPL’s highest wicket-taker, Chahal was bought for a whooping Rs 18 crore in the mega auction before IPL 2025. Despite shining with the ball, Chahal’s future with PBKS may come to an end before IPL 2026. Let’s take a look at teams who can target the spinner if released by PBKS.

3 teams who can target Chahal in IPL 2026
1. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
SRH operated with Zeeshan Ansari as their main spinner for majority of IPL 2025 while Adam Zampa was ruled out of the tournament nearly halfway through the season. While they do have Kamindu Mendis in their line-up, the one-time champions lack an experienced Indian spin bowling option, whhich could force them to go for Chahal during the trade window or the mini-auction. The veteran spinner could be a huge addition to the team, especially on tracks away from Hyderabad.
2. Rajasthan Royals (RR)
Another team who could be interested to rope in Chahal would be RR. Sanju Samson and co. managed to accquire the services of the Sri Lankan spinner duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana for IPL 2025. However, both stars delivered sub-par performances, letting the team down in the spin department. Chahal’s addition could surley benifit RR in IPL 2026, enhancing their bowling department with a wicket-taking spinner.
3. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
Defending champions RCB could surely see profits by roping in Chahal once again. The Haryana spinner was part of the franchise from 2014-2021 during which he had his best years in the IPL. He then moved to RR in 2022 after being released by Bengaluru. Subsequently, after spending 3 seasons with RR, he was bought by PBKS in the IPL 2025 mega auction for Rs 18 crore by PBKS. RCB tasted tremendous success by using Krunal Pandya and Suyuash Sharma in IPL 2025. However, the team lacks Indian spin bowling talents barring these two.
