Foreign technicians, divers come to remove oil from MSC Elsa 3

Foreign technicians and divers who come to Kollam port to help the inclusion and removal of oil and other dangerous substances from MSC Elsa.

Kollam is also an ideal place for the project coordination, which provides administrative convenience compared to effective return times (about 4.5 hours to the site) and Kochi, since it is sunken between Alappuzha and Kollam. The mobilization of the Southern Nova ship was a critical transition to the next operational stage, which focused on deep sea fuel extraction from the wrecking ship using the saturation diving.

In early June, Greenpeace was seen by South Asia, about 9.3 km long with a visible silver/metallic reflection, but although the salvation claimed that oil leaks were successfully limited, an oil lubrication from the ship was detected by Greenpeace South Asia. It is estimated that the oil recovery from the ship will last for about four weeks, subject to weather conditions.
