Due to his commitment to the Congress, the unions of the employees organized a protest in front of the secretariat who accused the left democratic front government of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Plan of pushing the workers of the rear burner.
The leader of the opposition, which started the protest, asked the government to increase the number of working days to at least 200 a year and to bring workers to the social welfare and security network ambition.
Authorized, mostly women from the lowest economic layer in the community for workers and EPF demanded pensions. Intuc State President R. Chandrasekharan led the march. KPCC President Sunny Joseph, MLA PC Vishnunath and Intuc Regional President VR Pratapan spoke.
