11.85 acres allocated to GCC for the coffee project

Visakhapatnam: Vijaya Krishnan, the Anakapalle Regional Collection, gave orders to the Girijan Cooperative Company (GCC) to have a 11.85 acres of government land to establish a coffee processing unit, and aimed to increase the tribal livelihoods and agricultural -based infrastructure. Located under the Narsipatnam section, the land in the mandal consists of three parcels classified as Banjaru (Waseland), non -forest and planable land. 108-2, 108-3 and 109-2. The initiative is expected to increase economic opportunities for local tribes by providing them with business and encouraging sustainable agricultural practices. The site was once a part of a open forest block (p.no.2), but then it was divided into lower sections under the tribal distribution plans for low -income people.

The allocation follows an official request from the tribal welfare department accompanied by a detailed offer from GCC. The Secretary of the Government of the Tribal Welfare Department received an offer explaining the need for the unit before and emphasized the potential to increase value and market access for tribal coffee breeders in the region. According to the official land records, a total of 11,853 acres of land allocated for the coffee processing unit in Settipalem Village is distributed to three survey lands. Survey No. 108-2 (LPM No. 7) 4.261 acres, survey no. 108-3 (LPM No. 6) provides an increase of 3.647 acres. Remaining 3,945 acres, questionnaire no. 109-2 (LPM No. 5). All three parcels are classified as suitable for agricultural-industry development. The income department of Narsipatnam was asked to transfer to the GCC Vice President and General Manager of the GCC Vice President of the GCC until regular alienation procedures were concluded from the revenue department of the revenue department. Authorities are also expected to offer official alienation suggestions as soon as possible.
